The LED Lenser ML6 Connect WL is a rechargeable LED Lantern which is packed with features that make it a versatile addition to your kit list if you're spending time in the great outdoors but will come in just as handy if you're only heading as far as your back garden. Like the standard ML6, the light is housed in a fairly compact enclosure which can be stood on its detachable stand base or hung from the carry handle on the top. The WL stands for Warm Light and means the lantern gives out a softer glow which is easy on the eyes, while the Connect refers to inbuilt Bluetooth connectivity which means the lantern can be controlled remotely by a smartphone or by using the included remote control which can be worn around the wrist. The remote control functions enable you to adjust the brightness, switch it between red and white light, activate different lighting modes (including an SOS distress signal) or set up a timer to switch it off automatically. The ML6 Connect WL runs on a rechargeable 18650 battery which can be removed and swapped out, meaning you can take spare batteries with you on longer trips away, but it can also be recharged inside the lantern whenever you're near a power point. An integrated battery indicator and low battery warning mean you'll always know when the battery is almost drained, and the ML6 Connect WL's magnetic charging system ensures years of reliable, trouble-free charging. The charger simply attaches onto the housing magnetically, helping to avoid strain on the cable and preventing contaminants like dust, debris and liquids from getting inside the lantern. A USB port on the housing means you can also use the battery as a powerbank to recharge electronic devices like phones or tablets. The housing is IP66 rated, meaning it provides excellent protection against dust and liquid ingress, being completey sealed against dust and capable of withstanding direct, powerful jets of water.
