The jig is tailor-made for larger locks and is DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) lock size compatible. Our versatile lock jig provides three different types of plate sizes: a 20mm x 235mm radius end face-plate, a 24mm x 235mm radius end face-plate, and a comprehensive 17mm x 170mm mortise. Adding more to its feasibility, the product comes with an adapter plate to accommodate smaller templates, namely 239mm x 60mm, just like our standard LOCK/JIG. Our lock jig is intended to work perfectly with doors ranging from 34mm to 58mm in thickness. To achieve deep mortises, a simple auger bit and drill are necessary. The jig demands a 1/2-inch plunge router with an 80mm plunge, which should be fitted with a 30mm guide bush featuring a 6mm spigot and a 12mm diameter long-reach cutter. A 1/4-inch plunge router can also be used for the face-plate but may not reach the full depth of the mortise. The jig is designed to accommodate DIN style locks with maximum precision. In terms of specifications, expect a minimum door thickness of 34 mm and maximum of 58 mm. The provided templates cater to metric dimensions of 20 x 235mm, 24 x 235mm, and 17 x 170mm, the latter offering clearance of 5mm at each end.
