The Kaiser idell™ wall lamp is an eye-catcher even when unlit. This is because it was designed in the Bauhaus design, which still enjoys great popularity. The creator of the eponymous series of lamps, which came onto the market in 1931, was the German Christian Dell (1893-1974), a silversmith by trade and later a teacher of industrial design as well as a master craftsman of the metal workshop at the Bauhaus Weimar. The scissor arm of the Kaiser idell™ wall lamp immediately catches the eye: Due to the extendability of the arm as well as the patented swivel shade, the lighting can be completely adapted to individual needs.

The wall lamp Kaiser idell™ is produced by the Danish company FRITZ HANSEN. The company, which was founded by the carpenter Fritz Hansen, existed as a pure family business for over a century. During this time, it made a name for itself beyond Denmark through collaboration with renowned designers as well as excellent craftsmanship. In 1979, Skandinavisk Holding took over 75% of the company shares and set new trends in the lighting market with innovative designers such as Verner Panton, Cecilie Manz and Bodil Kjær.
